The Windows of St. James’ and Skaneateles and St. James’ are available together for a modest $20 at the gift shop in the Museum at the Creamery at 28 Hannum Street, just around the corner from the Sherwood Inn. The set will not be reprinted, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. The gift shop and museum are open Fridays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Skaneateles sketches by artist Scott Ouderkirk
At first glance, two men walk down Jordan Street, the old fire hall on the left, the Methodist Church on the right, but I couldn’t help but be interested in the advertising plastered to the pole in the foreground…
…diamond-shaped posters encouraging villagers to chew Green Turtle Plug and the surprising Climax Plug. What an interesting time this must have been.
Love the photographer’s bicycle in the center of the photo.
