Thanks to the Skaneateles Historical Society and the tireless scanning of Bill Hecht, I have found two more photos related to Clifford D. Beebe, president of the Auburn & Syracuse Electric Railway (a.k.a. “the trolley”) and master of the Lone Oak estate. A longer piece on Lone Oak, updated with these photos, is here.
The boathouse photo is from the album of the Charles Poor family. The boathouse was built in 1905 by George Barber at a cost of $2,500 with “the best appointments.”
