At the Movies, 1950

Colonial 1

It’s interesting to me that The Asphalt Jungle, today acknowledged as a classic, was second-billed to The Skipper Surprised His Wife.

  1. Thank you for the post about the Colonial Theatre. My brothers and I enjoyed many movies when we visited from Japan. My uncle and father would often take their youngest brother in the days when the movies were silent. When the action would increase, they forgot their brother couldn’t the subtitles and he would have to tell him what was going on. It is still a memory that brings a smile to my cousins. Sadly, the Colonial is gone but the memories linger on.
